Say, nobody's missed me? Well, I didn't really think so, either. I'm writing for my own fun.
Let's talk about death. No, seriously, let's talk about death. It's scary, isn't it? That this wonderful freedom to move our arms and think and slowly turn in to a couch potato will be taken away and replaced with absolutely nothing. And it's gonna happen, no matter what. No matter what we do, we are still going to die. And become nothing.
Sure, you can believe that there is a God/ a Cycle of Life/ an underwater seaworld with talking sponges and such, and thusly evade fear of death - but really, there are certain problems to that. For example, boredom, is there enough space ANYWHERE for the hundreds of billions people already dead, and so on. What do you even do with an eternity of sitting around and being good.
And Hell/equivalents... Does anybody deserve an ETERNITY of TORTURE based on deeds done in 60 years? Seriously. Wouldn't work.
So, back to the death subject. Do you fear death? Is there times when you shiver in fear because soon you won't be anymore? And our time here is so short, too. Only some 60 years, and lookitthat, you are no longer. What can you accomplish in 50-70 years? You can make an assload of children, 'kay, that's what you can do. You can experience personally significant moments. You can fight in a war. You can, of course, do a lot of things - which nobody will never ever remember. In 100 years, some of your grandchildren's children might be told a story about you.
And, what exactly in this corrupted world we live in is worth living? I'd rather try my luck in some other universe - seriously, how bleak can a place be? It's like we had our golden age, now we're... I don't know, but something seems to have dissappeared from the world. I have no idea what it is, but if I would have to guess, I'd place my bets on 'magic'. No, not the Harry Potter/LOTR/Fantasy style magic, but normal, ordinary magic of life. Or maybe that's how it always has been and I'm instead just seeing the 'truth' now.
What ever it is, I miss the old days when life was still so simple and without fear.
